This species needs to bond with its caretaker, which is unusual in rehabilitation. It must always see the same one or two people. Otherwise, it develops stress-induced stomach ulcers and dies. It also needs two years of rehabilitation before it can be autonomous and released, which does not simplify the task for the sanctuary. Fortunately, Tite-Roche was able to be released.
