Bats hibernate during the winter, but they can wake up under certain conditions (mild weather, illness, etc.). When they wake up, they find themselves in the houses or buildings where they hibernate. At this time, they cannot be released outside because our winter temperatures are too cold.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eSOS Miss Dolittle acts as a hibernaculum for bats! We receive bats found in homes during the winter. They are examined, weighed, fed, and placed in artificial hibernation for the rest of the winter, before being released in the spring.
