I'm sponsoring a beaver

Do you love animals? Would you like to make a difference for the little creatures you love so much?

At SOS Miss Dolittle, we rarely receive orphaned baby beavers. But we have one this year. A little one we named Tite-Balloune.

He arrived at the shelter weighing just 600 grams and was only 2 weeks old. This fragile little being needed care. He is now in good health, although he represents a big challenge. He is extremely sensitive to stress (beavers develop gastric ulcers if they experience too much stress and die from them), tolerates only one or two people to care for him (in this case, all bottles and care, when they are less than 5 months old, are given by Jennifer, the founder of the shelter) and requires very complex aquatic installations during all four seasons. We have integrated a pond, a long process, and we need to finish installing this aquatic area by purchasing a filtration system, hence the need to raise donations.

The rehabilitation of this species requires 2 years of care at the shelter since beavers are only autonomous from that age (we reproduce their natural history; baby beavers spend 2 to 3 years with their parents).

We offer you the chance to become Tite-Balloune's godparent for $100. This amount helps us pay for specialized beaver milk, his rodent blocks (specialized block-shaped feed), his many medical treatments, the continuation of work on his lake, and many other costs associated with his rehabilitation.

By agreeing to become a beaver godparent, here's what you'll receive:

• you will receive a PERSONALIZED sponsorship certificate (by email);
  

• you can join the private Facebook group for beaver godparents and you will receive updates every one or two weeks about your little protégé, throughout his stay at the shelter;
  

• you will be able to see the release video on the Facebook group.

Of course, a charitable donation receipt will be issued to you.
