In 2024, we admitted 3 fox kits! Foxes are one of SOS Miss Dolittle's favorite species, and everyone is always amazed when one arrives at the shelter. This year we were spoiled!

The three fox kits arrived very young. They are not siblings, but all three arrived under strangely similar circumstances; all three were found alone, near a road. We suspect they were hit by cars.

They arrived at the shelter with severe neurological problems secondary to head trauma, which were treated over several weeks. All three suffered a serious sequela from their misadventure: they lost their sight. This is a problem frequently seen after head trauma in foxes. Fortunately, it is reversible in some cases, but it can take several months for vision to return to normal.

The three fox kits have now been with us for nearly 5 months and we are happy to report that two of them have partially regained their sight! They will spend the winter at the shelter to complete their convalescence and will regain their freedom next spring.

• you can come visit it once;
• you will receive videos and updates of your animal once every two weeks during the summer and once a month during the fall and winter, on Messenger;
  
• you will receive the video of its release.
