This little goose was found alone and was taken in by a kind soul who cared for it for a few weeks before bringing it to us. Examination revealed that, in fact, because it had been fed a feed containing too much protein for its species' needs, the feathers at the tips of its wings grew too quickly relative to the development of its wrist joints. This meant that the wrist joints were not strong enough to support the tips of the wings, which were too heavy due to the feathers. Bandages were applied to hold the wings in place until the wrist joints became stronger. Fortunately, its wings returned to their original position and it was able to regain its freedom.
